MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD MAIL SETUP GUIDE

Mozilla ThunderBird Mail Setup Guide (First Time User)
1. Click on Mozilla ThunderBird and you will see below dialog box prompt up.
   
2. Key-in your “Your Name” (profile name in the local mailbox for ThunderMail) and Email address and as well as the Mailbox’s password. Next, click on “Continue”.
   
3. It will show up the following screen, which you need immediate click on “Manual Config”

   
4. Manual Config, will show up the following page, where from here you need to key-in your mailbox – Incoming and Outgoing mailserver details.

   
5. Mailbox setting is a follow format:
  Select Incoming as “POP3” and if you wish to use imap, then select “IMAP”
  Incoming Setting as follow:
 
  • Incoming Server Hostname: mail.< your domain name >
  • Incoming Port: 110
  • Incoming SSL: None
  • Incoming Authentication: Normal Password
  Outgoing Setting as follow:
 
  • Outgoing Server Hostname: mail.< your domain name >
  • Outgoing Port: 26
  • Incoming SSL: None
  • Incoming Authentication: Normal Password
 
6. Click “Re-Test” to check if all the setting is configure properly. If you face any issue, do trace and check the error stated. E.g wrong username or password. If you still not able to resolve the issue, feel free to contact our support at http://247livesupport.biz
 
7. Lastly, click on “Create Account” and your mailbox is successfully created.

   
Mozilla ThunderBird Mail Setup Guide (Existing User)
1. Click on Mozilla ThunderBird and you will see following interface.

   
2. From here, you click on “Tools” (from top menu bar), then choose “Account Settings” and below interface page will show up.

   
3. If you wish to add additional new mailbox, click on the step show above. Click on “Account Actions”  “Add Mail Account”.
 
4. If you have added this mail account, you just need to edit the mailbox setting, as show on below page.
 

   
5. 5. First, you need to check and set the Incoming POP setting, as show above. Choose “Server Settings”. Make sure below setting is correct:
  Select Incoming as “POP3” and if you wish to use imap, then select “IMAP”
  Incoming Setting as follow:
 
  • Incoming Server Hostname: mail.< your domain name >
  • Incoming Port: 110
  • Incoming SSL: None
  • Incoming Authentication: Normal Password
   
6. Next, click on “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”, and below screen show up.

 
7. Make sure below outgoing setting is correct. If not, kindly click on “Edit” button and below screen show up.
 
8. Make sure below outgoing mail setting is configure correctly and click “OK”. The details of outgoing mail setting as below:
  Incoming Setting as follow:
 
  • Incoming Server Hostname: mail.< your domain name >
  • Incoming Port: 26
  • Incoming SSL: None
  • Incoming Authentication: Normal Password
 
9. Finally, click on “Re-test” to do checking on the entire new setting is updated and make sure all is verified.
