Change Windows Administrator Password [INFO]

Following guide will help you change your dedicated server's administrator password for Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2, or 2012.

** NOTE:  If you have forgot your valid admin Windows server password, you will need to contact our support (Submit A Support Ticket) for further assistance.


For Windows Server 2012

  1. Log into your server via Remote Desktop.
  2. Press your Windows key and type Administrative Tools.
  3. Double click on Computer Management.
  4. Expand Local Users and Groups.
  5. Click on Users. 
  6. Right click on Administrator. Click on Set Password > Proceed.  Change Administrator Password in Windows Server 2012
  7. Type your new password in both fields then press OK.
 

For Windows Server 2008 R2

  1. Log into your server via Remote Desktop.
  2. Right click on Computer and select Manage.
  3. Double click on Configuration.
  4. Expand Local Users and Groups and then select Users.
  5. Right click on Administrator and choose Set Password and then click Proceed.

For Windows Server 2003
  1. Log into your server via Remote Desktop.
  2. Right click on My Computer and select Manage.
  3. Expand Local Users and Groups and then select Users.
  4. Right click on Administrator and choose Set Password and then click Proceed. Windows 2003 Administrator Password Change
  5. Type in the new password and select OK.
