How To Set Autodiscovery on cPanel

By default, cPanel automatically creates autodiscovery and autoconfiguration DNS records for your domain.

These records enable the Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail clients to automatically discover and configure access to your e-mail accounts.

1. Login to cPanel account and search for Zone Editor

2. View the records by clicking on Manage

3. Make sure these 3 records exist in DNS. Otherwise please add them. (replace testdomain.shinjiru with your own domain name)

  • autoconfig.testdomain.shinjiru (A record)
  • autodiscover.testdomain.shinjiru (A record)
  • _autodiscover._tcp.testdomain.shinjiru (SRV record)

NOTE: If you are using an external DNS Service, please do configure all 3 DNS Records as shown above.
