Install StrongSwan VPN client

1. Download and install the StrongSwan VPN client android application from Google-Play.
2. In the app, tap ADD VPN PROFILE at the top.
3. Fill out the Server with VPN server’s hostname or it's public IP address.
4. Make sure IKEv2 EAP (Username/Password) is selected as the VPN Type.
5. Fill out the VPN Username and Password.
6. Ensure Select automatically is tick in the CA certificate section.
7. If you’d like, fill out Profile name (optional) with a more descriptive name.

Launch Play Store and search for Strongswan.

Setting Up StrongSwan VPN client

Once StrongSwan VPN client installed, you may proceed to add new VPN profile.

Make sure IKEv2 EAP (Username/Password) is selected as the VPN Type.

Ensure Select automatically option is tick in the CA certificate section.

If you’d like, fill out Profile name (optional) with a more descriptive name.

To connect

Just simply tap/touch your VPN profile and StrongSwan VPN client will automatically attempt connect to the VPN server.

If you didn't enter your VPN user's password during setting up shown above, the client will ask you for the password.

To disconnect

Re-launch StrongSwan VPN client. If your VPN session still connected, it will show here. Simply click on Disconnect to end your Android's VPN session.
