PI-KVM : MSD (Mass Storage Drive)

MSD (Mass Storage Drive) is one of the PI-KVM's feature which allow user to upload/download their own custom ISO/IMAGE to the drive emulator (CD-ROM or Flash Drive) to perform the customization of installation. Important Note: This feature only apply for Plan PI-KVM with MSD/Plan Full PI-KVM. And no downtime required for your server during the setup/remove the MSD. *********************Additional charge is required for this feature*********************
Here is the step to show how to upload/download your own ISO/IMAGE to PI-KVM. 1. Press the Select image to upload button. Once you press the button, the panel will extend more and provide you 2 different method to upload the ISO file.
i. Upload the ISO to PI-KVM. To Upload the ISO file, click the browse button and select the ISO file which you want to upload. Once the ISO file selected, press the Upload button to start upload the ISO file. The upload speed is depend on the distance between your upload location to PI-KVM. As farther the location, the longer the upload time ii. Download the ISO to PI-KVM. If you worry about upload time. PI-KVM also allow user to download the ISO file from the Closer repo server. Here is the step to show how to download the ISO file using MSD. To download the ISO file, you can copy and paste the ISO URL to the textbox above then click upload button to upload the ISO file.
Windows OS For Windows OS, it's only workable for Prep Windows Image. Hence we have provide a link for user to download the prep windows Image file. Link : http://124.217.224.213/Core_i_Server/WindowsImage/
iii. Cancel the download/upload. PI-KVM only can perform the download/upload in 1 session. If the download/upload still in-progress and you want change the ISO. You can press the Abort button to cancel the download/upload. 2. Remove the unused ISO file 3. How to attach the ISO file i. Select the ISO file that you wanted to attach. ii. Choose the Drive mode (CD-ROM/Flash).
iii. Press the Connect drive to Server button to attach the MSD. iv. Once the MSD attached. You can reboot the server, find the boot menu and start the installation.
