UPDATE (V3):

The migration ran into some unforeseen errors and we have decided to put a pause on it. We will be reattempting the migration tomorrow. Please refer details :

 

Maintenance Date/Day: 17th November 2021 (Wednesday)

Maintenance Time: 10:00 (AM) GMT+8

Maintenance Duration: 12 Hours

 

Your service will remain uninterrupted until then. You may continue to do necessary updates.


UPDATE (V2):


It appears that the data migration takes more than 12 hours as we anticipated. However, there is no reason to be alarmed as we will re-sync each account after the migration - it is a part of our migration checklist. The downtime will only happen once we start to switch the ip from the old server to the new one. With a smooth process, we can expect the downtime to be less than an hour


In the meantime, we recommend that customers avoid amending or upgrading anything in your account during this maintenance window to avoid any potential data loss issues

Please be informed that our System Administrator will be performing  Hosting Account Migration as part of Corrective Maintenance for server 'rhenium.articdns.com' in which your account is hosted. Maintenance details are as follows:
 
Maintenance Date/Day: 16th November 2021 (Tuesday)
Maintenance Time: 10:00 (AM) GMT+8
Maintenance Duration: 12 Hours
 
From the previous notice dated 11th November 2021, there is another changes that will take place. The new server will be upgraded with MySQL 8.0. With recent cPanel Version, older MySQL Version is no longer an option to be installed. There is no need to worry as he have performed similar migration before and usually all databases found to be compatible. Should there be an issue related to MySQL, we would migrate you to a  another server that support older MySQL Version.

We apologize for the short notice; however, we identified the hardware you're currently hosting beginning to deter that leading up to sluggish server performance and possible data loss may follow if no immediate action is taken. At this juncture, we have applied some workaround, but it didn't entirely fix the problem. Delaying to address this issue will lead to sluggish server performance, hence  we must apply these mission critical migrations of all the accounts to newly configured and patched hardware at our earliest opportunity.

This maintenance will cause intermittent interruption of services. Rest assured that we will take every possible step to speed up the whole process. The expected maintenance window is 12 hours; though, each account should only see intermittent downtime while it is being migrated. Regardless, we recommend that customers avoid amending or upgrading anything in your account during this maintenance window to avoid any potential data loss issues. There will be no changes in Server Hostname and IP Address
